WHMCS 9.0 CSV ImportAssist: Import Clients from Any System 2026
The ImportAssist addon in WHMCS 9.0 now supports client imports using CSV files. You can import client data from any system into WHMCS using a standard CSV format, with a cron task to process new import files automatically. This guide explains how it works and what you need to do.
Data Import. Simplified.
Import customer accounts using standard CSV files, giving you a simple way to move data from third-party or old platforms into WHMCS.
Centralize operations faster and remove data fragmentation, whether you're just getting started or expanding your setup.
What You Can Import
With CSV support in ImportAssist you can import client (customer) accounts into WHMCS. The CSV must follow the correct import file format documented by WHMCS for ImportAssist.
How It Works
- Prepare a CSV file with client data in the required ImportAssist format.
- Use the ImportAssist addon to run the import, or let the cron job process new files.
- A new
--ImportAssisttask runs as part of the system cron job and processes new import files automatically.
Customer imports are the start; WHMCS may add support for domains, invoices, and more in future. Check the official ImportAssist documentation for the latest columns and rules.
Benefits
- Fast, flexible onboarding from any system that can export CSV
- Less manual data entry and fewer errors
- Foundation for future import types (domains, invoices, etc.)
